Personal Transition Story
Stevie began her career as a software engineer. She soon fell in love with the Agile Methodology since she values people over process and flexibility over rigid plans. Collaboration to achieve results is a key aspect of all Stevie does. In 2008 she moved into her first full-time Agile coaching role, where she spent the next decade leading teams around the world to effectively implement an Agile mindset. Along the way, she discovered many teams hit a “glass ceiling” because their leaders hadn’t yet embraced this same mindset. This shifted Stevie’s focus to coaching these leaders, guiding them through their journey of learning to lead in new ways. To increase her own coaching effectiveness, Stevie pursued coaching certifications outside the Agile/Scrum community. In 2017 she earned her Strengths Strategies Coaching Certification so she could effectively bring CliftonStrengths into her coaching. In 2018 she earned her People Acuity Coach certification, to enhance her relational skills. In 2019 she became a Certified DISC Coach in order to bring a new dimension to the relational aspect of her coaching. She continues to learn new coaching tools and strategies, as well as stay closely connected to the Agile community.
